If you mean, should the Shia South have their own country . . . well, why not. Not sure why they need Kofi Annan leading the parade.

I'm all in favor. With nationhood goes responsibilities.

Actually there were a few things...meant by just one word...one was the issue you mentioned, the other was that as a result of this Hezbollah now has better recognition on the political stage, the other issue was that it took the rest of the world (including the UN) so long to do something about this..I was glad to see that Annan was actually in situ seeing what happened.
