Place your bets....
and here is the starter's list.
I loved you, so I drew these tides of men into my hands and wrote my will across the sky in stars to earn you Freedom. - T.E. Lawrence
All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dream with open eyes, to make it possible.

If it's from the list, it's once again a lose lose situation. Just once I would love to vote for the best person, instead of the lesser of two evils.
Forget lists. Republican nominees are always from a short list of those whose turn it is. Thus John McCain. Democrats I'm not so sure about. But it matters not. John McCain will be our next President. I say this as objective as I can be. For those who don't like Republicans, Senator McCain will be a one-termer.

I'll go with Hillary...why not have a woman in charge for a change? The rest make me shuddddddder...
Peri: My choice would be Hillary, but unfortunately (and this is not my personal opinion) I think that her biggest handicap is her husband
Seven Seas: But it wouldn't be the US elections if the choice of candidates was perfect!
Fred: I shall remember your prediction!
Scorpy: I agree, it would make for an interesting change.
People who pick Hillary do not understand US politics. She may win the nomination, but she will lose in the math of the electoral college. That's what makes it interesting and sad.
Hillary is a polarizing figure. People hate her worse than they hate her husband. In fact I forgive her husband for the whole Lewinsky thing because he is married to Hillary. Got to get some somewhere, cause its pretty sure there is none being given up at home! :-).
John McCain is the only good guy on that list. For the rest......LOSERS!
