A few pictures of Beirut....
As promised a few pictures of Beirut...they are scanned so the quality is not great...but they give you a rough idea....these pictures were taken in December 2002 on my first trip to Beirut.
Just a brief explanation on 'Solidere', the area is actually better known as Downtown, however, the company responsible for rebuilding the area (masterminded by Rafik Hariri)is called Solidere, so that name has stuck. As I said the other evening, Beirut really is a fantastic city...very beautiful, very historical, great restaurants and night life....
