Verbal fencing
'To date'...because today I met my match, for the first time ever...with one response I was reduced to silence! And I am still stunned!! In a good way!!
I loved you, so I drew these tides of men into my hands and wrote my will across the sky in stars to earn you Freedom. - T.E. Lawrence
All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dream with open eyes, to make it possible.
T.E. Lawrence, Seven Pillars of Wisdom

But .......did you ever find out if he is gay? Or is this someone new?
Oohhh- I LOVE a good exchange of witty banter! Especially during foreplay! I love the phrase "Verbal Fencing"- can I use that?
~Fab : )
Always love witty banter, the thrust and parry of razor sharp words. Unfortuneatly, between growing up in the southern U.S. and my experiences in the Navy, I find that most good fencing matches were ended with one of the following phrases.
"F**k you!"
"Oh yeah?"
and the always timeless
"Your momma!"
I swear, it's enough to make you weep for humanity.
Is reduced to silence a good thing? I'd have thought the *perfect* wordplay was one that went on and on?
Mia: 'The better part of valour is discretion'.....my lips are sealed!
Fab: By all means, go ahead...I certainly didn't coin the phrase!
Seven Seas: I have a very dear friend from Mississippi..so I completely understand!
dgnyhk: In this case reduced to silence was a good thing...because it was the first time that had ever happened to me!!! But yes, I agree, the perfect wordplay should go on and on!
"discretion"
Where's the fun in that! (for your readers at least)
