Garci speaks...and other local news
Every one should have their 15 minutes of fame...(except me - I'm not good with stuff like that), however, Garci is taking it a step too far...
Today Garci finally speaks. For a blow by blow account over to Manuel L. Quezon III.
I have to say that reading the proceedings so far...it all sounds a bit like the proceedings at the court presided over by the King and Queen of Hearts with Alice on the stand and the White Rabbit doing his stuff...
Apparently plausible security threats close the US embassy in Manila for the second day running.
When the fertilizer scandal hit the news a week or so back, the story called for a headline that only a Sun headline writer could produce..something along the lines of "Shit hitting the fan" or "A steaming pile of...", however, I have been reliably informed that it is chemical fertiliser and not of the more natural variety...so I shall follow the story with a little less 'relish' now...or maybe that's the wrong word to use!
Reading that the Philippines is the third most corrupt country in Asia...makes me wonder what happened to our man from Hong Kong?
