Personally, I think the offical logo is awful, an embarassment even.....my money would be on something a bit like this.....

I don't like it either, but, amazingly, nearly all the alternatives in your list are even worse! What about "Zoizdon" (top right)? Or those dreadful ones that are based on the union jack? It's a hell of a hard job selecting a logo -- I can say that from experience. The truly scandalous thing about the one they selected was what it cost -- I heard 400,000 pounds!
